Tai Chi, balance and falls prevention.

At first glance the concept of balance is simple to understand. It means being stable. Something with good balance tends to not fall over. Balance is important. If we have good balance we are less likely to fall. If we are less likely to fall we are less likely to get injured. Balance training is therefore a key feature to preventing falls and falls related injuries (which can be severely life-changing or even life-ending in the elderly)

There are a myriad of exercise options available in our community; from cycling to walking, jogging, tennis, golf, weight training, Pilates,… but none of them come close to Tai Chi with regards to working, training and improving balance. Tai Chi has many benefits, one of them is that it takes us into the realms of balance training very, very deeply.

It is a certainty! Practice Tai Chi and you will improve your balance and be at less risk of falling. Learning Tai Chi is perhaps one of the most worthwhile health and well-being investments one can make!
