Mobile and Clinic-based Physiotherapy and Tai Chi in the Southern Highlands, NSW.
Two ways to feel better, from one experienced pair of hands
Welcome to Refined Moves. I'm Anthony, a physiotherapist and Tai Chi teacher with over 35 years of experience helping people in the Southern Highlands move better and feel better.
Physio helps fix the problem. Tai Chi helps you stay steady and strong. Bringing together techniques from the East and West gives a wholistic path to health, and I’d love for you to join me.
What I Do
In-Home & Clinic Based Physiotherapy
I treat adults needing rehabilitation following injuries, illness or surgery, those suffering with arthritis or other joint pain, muscle and ligament strain and osteoporosis. I also help with rehabilitation for stroke victims.
There's no need to brave traffic or sit in a waiting room. I'll happily come to you, or you're welcome to visit my clinic in Annesley, Bowral, whatever suits you best. However we meet, you'll find an unhurried, caring approach, and the steady reassurance of more than 35 years' experience. Together we will thoroughly assess your condition and put together a management plan that will suit your lifestyle and deliver the best possible results.
Tai Chi classes
I offer Yang-style Tai Chi and Qigong classes in the Southern Highlands, in small groups or private one-on-one sessions.
Classes cater from beginner to advanced, with a focus on improving health, wellbeing, balance, mobility, and injury prevention. As both a Tai Chi teacher and practising physiotherapist, my teaching is grounded in anatomy, biomechanics, falls prevention, and rehabilitation.
Group classes are tailored to skill level, age, and goals, with both standing and seated options available. All classes are intentionally kept small to ensure personalised, high-quality instruction.

Val, Tai Chi class participant
Your friendliness and enthusiasm were great. You are very caring, and I liked that you checked in with people before starting. You explain each move so well and keep us focused on breathing, the correct way to be moving and how the movement is helping energy flow. You accommodated all levels of physical capabilities and worked with them well.
Danielle, Tai Chi class participant
Anthony was a fantastic teacher; calm, encouraging and engaging. He made the class fun while also taking great care that nobody overdid it and injured themselves.
